The Insurance Authority (IA) today (26 June 2018) launched its Facebook Page, called “Koi Sai Po Kam” (“蓋世保鑑” or “Bible of Insurance”), to provide credible, impartial information and knowledge about insurance to the public through social media.
"It is one of the IA’s statutory functions to promote public understanding of insurance products and the insurance industry,” said Mr John Leung, Chief Executive Officer of the IA. “Today we celebrate the launch of our Facebook Page on the first anniversary of the commencement of the IA’s regulation over the insurance industry. This initiative aims to provide current and potential policy holders with useful information and tips on taking out insurance, and to connect with the members of the public.”
The “Koi Sai Po Kam” Facebook Page uses an ancient fictional story as its background. It revolves around the Bible of Insurance, which can be found in “Sau Po San” (“壽寶山” or “the Insurance Treasure Mountain”) and contains a lot of useful information about insurance. “Koi Sai Po” (“蓋世保”), the author of the book, is committed to sharing the contents of the book with people to facilitate their understanding of insurance products and the insurance industry, with a view to establishing “Sau Po San” as a regional insurance hub.
