Insurance Authority led a delegation to Beijing to meet with the National Financial Regulatory Administration’s senior officials

The Insurance Authority (IA) led a delegation from the Hong Kong insurance industry on a visit to Beijing on 30 July 2025 and met with Mr Li Yunze, Party Secretary and Minister of the National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA).

The delegation was led by Mr Stephen Yiu, Chairman of the IA and Mr Clement Cheung, Chief Executive Officer of the IA, with industry stakeholders from the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers and insurance intermediary associations. Both sides exchanged views on topics covering the development of the Mainland and Hong Kong insurance markets, how Hong Kong could leverage its role as a global risk management centre, and strengthening bilateral regulatory collaboration.
