The Insurance Authority (IA) today (24 March 2025) wishes to alert members of the public to two fraudulent Facebook pages with the domain names of “hxxps://www[.]facebook[.]com/profile[.]php?id=100066978669003” and “hxxps://www[.]facebook[.]com/profile[.]php?id=100063892602223” respectively. The aforesaid fraudulent Facebook pages purport to be the official pages of an authorized insurer of Hong Kong, BOC Group Life Assurance Company Limited (BOC Life). BOC Life has confirmed that it has no connection with these fraudulent pages.
The case has been reported to the Hong Kong Police Force for further investigation. Anyone who has provided personal information to the aforesaid pages or has conducted any transactions through them should contact BOC Life’s Customer Service Hotline at (852) 2860-0688 and report the case to the Hong Kong Police Force.
