The Insurance Authority (IA) wishes to alert members of the public in Hong Kong to a fraudulent website with the domain name “https://www.hangfungins.com” containing false or misleading information about “Hang Fung Insurance Services Limited” (HFIS).
The fraudulent website purports to be the official website of HFIS. HFIS is currently not a licensed insurance intermediary. It has confirmed that it does not operate any official website and has no connection with the fraudulent website.
Anyone who has provided his or her personal information or conducted any financial transactions through the fraudulent website should contact the IA by phone at 3899-9983 or by completing our online complaint form .
Members of the public are reminded to verify the status of any entity making use of the internet to solicit insurance business from the public. The full list of authorized insurers and insurance intermediaries in Hong Kong can be found on the Register of Insurers and Register of Licensed Insurance Intermediaries on the IA website respectively.
