Alert List

The list below covers fraudulent websites, phishing emails or other scams reported to or received by the Insurance Authority (IA) (e.g. from insurers, insurance intermediaries, complainants, members of public etc.) starting from 15 April 2025. Anyone who has provided personal information or has conducted any transactions through the listed links or domain names should consider reporting the case to the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF).

The list will be updated from time to time. Please sign up for the subscription service of the IA website to receive email notifications of updates to the list. Members of the public are also encouraged to check suspicious links on Scameter of the HKPF to assess the level of fraud and cybersecurity risks.

The links in the Category column in the table below will redirect you to relevant warnings issued by the IA or other relevant entities (e.g. insurers) alerting the public against the fraudulent links or domain names concerned. Please note that, by clicking on the links to the warnings issued by other entities, one will be leaving the IA website and entering another website. If you have any enquiries about those warnings, please contact the relevant entities concerned directly.

The full list and contact details of authorized insurers and licensed insurance intermediaries in Hong Kong can be found on the Register of Authorized Insurers and the Register of Licensed Insurance Intermediaries on the IA website.

For information on scam reports before 15 April 2025, please refer to the relevant press releases.
